Menaka Raman is a writer of short stories, advertising jingles and articles. Her writing has appeared in Marie Claire India, The NewIndPress Sunday Magazine and Mint, and she has also read her work at Tales of the Decongested. This is her first published piece of fiction. A non-fiction piece will be published in the decibel Penguin Prize anthology From Here to There: Sixteen True Tales of Immigration to Britain, in November 2007.
