RULES: Your story need not be strongly linked to the picture thematically, but must be exactly 1000 words long, original to you and unpublished. The award is open only to writers who have not yet published a book. Entrants may send a single story only. Deadline for entries: midnight GMT 3 Feb 2004. The winning entry will be selected by Douglas Coupland; the £1000 award will be announced in March 2004.
