David was born in Colchester in 1977 and grew up in Buckinghamshire. He graduated from the University of Bristol in 1998. After graduating he spent some time travelling, including a six-month spell teaching English in China. He now lives in Madrid, where he is working on his first novel and a collection of short stories. In his spare time he enjoys photography, cooking and sipping cold beers in the sunshine.
